Niger's army has killed 14 civilians in a restricted zone who were mistaken for Boko Haram terrorists in the country's remote southeast, reports Agence France-Presse.
There are conflicting reports on the incident – with some saying an airstrike was involved and other accounts saying patrolling soldiers opened fire, noted the BBC. Some accounts suggested displaced persons were killed.
