The Chinese government has donated military equipment to Uganda for peacekeeping operations in Somalia, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
The handover was made Tuesday in Kampala by China's ambassador Zhao Yali, reported Star Africa.
The US$5.5 million donation included three 50-ton cranes, 12 troop carriers, four 10,000-liter water wagons and 16 water trailers, said a Ugandan army spokesman on Wednesday.
