The U.S. Army has started a controversial training exercise in Texas and six other states, reports USA Today.
Jade Helm began on Wednesday and will run through Sept. 15 in Texas, Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Utah.
The unconventional warfare exercise involves about 1,200 Army special operations troops. Limited numbers of special operators from the Navy, Marines and Air Force are also participating.
