Military Deploys THAAD Launchers; Protesters Clash With Police

The U.S. and South Korea have finished deploying a controversial U.S. missile defense system intended to counter North Korean threats, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
The radar and two launchers of the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system have already deployed to a site in the southern county of Seongju. A THAAD battery usually consists of six launchers.
