An apparent Boko Haram suicide bomber has killed at least five soldiers and injured 40 in an attack in northeast Nigeria, reports the Vanguard (Nigeria).
On Thursday, the bomber drove an explosives-laden pick-up truck into a military convoy near Manguzum village. The convoy was en route to Damboa, about 55 miles from Maiduguri, security sources told AFP.
At the time, the convoy was conducting “clearance operations” between Yobe and Borno states, said the sources.
