Military Contemplates Handing Out Gum With A Jolt Of Caffeine

The Israeli military is considering dispensing caffeinated chewing gum to help keep pilots and combat soldiers awake during long missions, reports the Jerusalem Post.

The military has been conducting a feasibility study of different types of such gum for the last several months.

Gum with caffeine was recently given to troops in the Paratroopers Brigade during an exercise as part of the study.
