Military Considers Reinforcing Disputed Islands With Missile Boats, Tanks

Taiwan's government says it may deploy missile boats and tanks to disputed islands in the South China Sea, reports Arirang News (South Korea).
The missile boats would patrol the area around the Spratly and the Prata islands, government officials said. Tanks are also being offered to the coast guard, said a defense official.
Taiwan's coast guard forces currently stationed in that area are only armed with light weapons, said officials.
