Saudi Arabia has launched its first military unit open to women, reports the Arab News (Riyadh).
In a speech on Sunday, Maj. Gen. Imad Al-Aidan, the head of admissions and enlistment, outlined the recruiting guidelines and bases where women troops will be stationed.
The move was first announced in October 2019.
