Islamist militants in southern Yemen have confirmed that their forced have been pulled from former strongholds of Zinjibar and Jaar, reports the Yemen Post.
Yemeni troops have fought months-long battles in Abyan province for the two cities, which Ansar al-Sharia seized last year.
