Boko Haram militants have crossed into Niger and killed dozens of people in two villages, reports CNN.
They raided Ungumawo and Lamina in Niger's Diffa region late on Wednesday, killing at least 38 people, said a local official.
Arriving on motorbikes and in cars, the militants shot up the villages and set homes on fire, according to security sources cited by Reuters.
