At least nine people have been killed in an attack in southwestern Pakistan, reports Samaa Digital (Pakistan).
On Tuesday, three militants entered a police compound in the Loralai district in Baluchistan province during a test as part of the recruiting of police clerks, reported Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
The militants opened fire and threw a grenade inside.
Other sources said the men wore suicide vests and tried to fight their way inside to attack the civilian candidates. There were around 900 candidates present during the attack, said senior police officials. At least 22 people were injured.
Two of the attackers blew themselves up and the third was killed by security forces, the officials said.
Three police officers and six civilian staff members were killed, reported Agence France-Presse. Other sources indicated that seven police officers were killed.
The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, reported the Voice of America News.
