Indian police say they killed a senior Lashkar-e-Tayyiba militant commander during an overnight firefight in Indian-administered Kashmir, Pakistan's Dawn reports.
The gun battle began Monday in northern Sopore town and ended Tuesday morning, Indian security officials said.
Three police officers were injured, and one died later of his wounds, said officials.
