At least a dozen soldiers have been killed in a major militant attack in northern Burkina Faso, reports Agence France-Presse.
On Monday, militants attacked troops in Koutougou, Soum province, said the military.
At least 12 soldiers were killed and more wounded, it said. Security sources said as many as 20 people may have been killed.
The army blamed "terrorist armed groups" for the attack. Most attacks in Burkina Faso have been attributed to the Ansarul Islam and JNIM groups,...
