A huge carrier being built for the British Royal Navy is taking shape in a shipyard in Scotland.
The BAE Systems Govan Shipyard in Glasgow joined the first two hull sections Monday for the Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier, reports London's Daily Telegraph.
Engineers will spend the next week ensuring they are perfectly aligned before welding them together into a 263-foot (80-m) long, 11,500-ton section, said yard officials.
