MiG Seen In Flames; Rebels Claim Shootdown

Opposition forces in Syria say they have shot down a Syrian government fighter jet, reports the Anadolu news agency (Turkey).
The Russian-built MiG fighter was downed by anti-aircraft guns located near Nahtah in the eastern Deraa province, Hosam Neema, a commander of the Southern Front, which represents the Free Syrian Army in the region, told the news agency.
