The Russian air force grounded its fleet of MiG-31 interceptors after a crash on Friday in Perm in the Urals, reports Interfax-AVN.
The pilots ejected safely after their MiG-31 went into a spin during a routine training flight northeast of the Bolshoye Savino airfield, said an air force spokesman.
No injuries were reported on the ground.
An investigation into the incident was launched.
