A North Korean MiG-21 fighter crashed on Tuesday in northeastern China, in what some sources say may have been a defection attempt, reports the Los Angeles Times.
The North Korean pilot was killed in the incident, which occurred about 100 miles (160 km) from the Chinese-North Korean border, Chinese officials said.
