MiG-21 Crashes During Training; Pilot Seriously Injured

Romanian authorities say that the pilot of a Romanian MiG-21 fighter jet has been seriously injured after he ejected from his aircraft, reports the Romania Insider.

The aircraft went down Monday in the southeastern county of Constanta after a joint training mission (Thracian Eagle 2017) with the Bulgarian air force, said the Defense Ministry.

The pilot reported a major engine failure during landing manuevers, the ministry said.
