Mid-Band Jammer Makes 1st Flight On Growler Electronic Attack Jet

The Navy has successfully flown the first element of its new jamming system on the EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft for the first time, reports the Naval Air Systems Command.

The flight on Aug. 7 was designed to validate that the jamming pods do not adversely affect the jet's performance. The pod was carried under the aircraft's right wing during the trial.
