Microsoft Upsets Amazon For $10 Billion JEDI Contract

The Pentagon has awarded Microsoft a $10 billion contract for the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) cloud storage program, reports Tech Crunch.
The department announced the decision on Friday.
Amazon was considered the frontrunner to win the contract to establish a secure, cloud-based system for the Defense Dept. The company has the largest enterprise cloud infrastructure and has already reached the highest reported security level, Impact Level 6, noted Defense One. ...
