Micro-Satellites Sought For Intelligence Missions

The Israeli air force is interested in acquiring micro-satellites for a variety of missions, reports the Jerusalem Post.
Such systems would give the military more versatility, while enabling main space assets to continue their intelligence-gathering and strategic operations, a top general told a space conference.
In 2005, Rafael Defense Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries formed a partnership to develop lightweight micro-satellites that could be launched from an F-15.
