Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) have raised concerns about an investment agreement with China that was finalized in late 2020, reports the South China Morning Post.
On Wednesday, members of the Committee on International Trade accused the European Commission, the European Union's executive body, of ignoring issues with labor conditions in China and Beijing's anti-democratic crackdown in Hong Kong in signing the Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CAI) on Dec. 30.
