MEND Militants Threaten To Resume Attacks

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), the main militant group in Nigeria, vowed to resume attacks on oil installations in Nigeria at the expiration of the current cease-fire on Oct. 15, reports the Vanguard (Lagos).
The group also distanced itself from a planned Friday meeting involving President Umaru Yar'Adua, governors and former militant leaders.
