Medvedev Sees Need For 5th-Generation Bomber

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has confirmed that Russia will develop a fifth-generation strategic bomber, RIA Novosti reports.
Maintenance and modernization of existing strategic bombers is not enough, he said Saturday at a meeting on strategic aviation in Kazan.
A new bomber is expected to replace the Tu-95MC Bear and Tu-160 Blackjack strategic bombers, as well as the Tu-22M3 Backfire long-range bombers.
