A new Russian nuclear-powered multipurpose attack submarine is scheduled to be launched Tuesday, RIA Novosti reports.
The launching of the Severodvinsk was previously delayed due to technical reasons, according to the Sevmash shipyard. It was originally scheduled to float out on May 7.
The sub, the first of the Project 885 Yasen class, was begun in 1993. Construction of a second boat, the Kazen, began last year.
