The U.S. Navy has taken delivery of its latest Lewis and Clark-class supply ship, reports San Diego-based General Dynamics NASSCO, which built the vessel.
The Medgar Evers completed sea trials three weeks ago ahead of its delivery on Tuesday in San Diego.
The ship, named after the slain civil rights leader from Mississippi, is the 13th of 14 in the class.
