Speaking in Germany, U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis says Washington will keep the forward deployment of forces in eastern Europe through 2020, reports the Stars and Stripes.
Mattis made his comments during a June 28 visit at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch, which is named for the author of the post-World War II European Recovery Program, also called the Marshall Plan.
