Militants have attacked French forces in central Mali with a large car bomb, reports France 24.
On Monday, the vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) was detonated in the Kaigourou area of the town of Gossi, local sources told the television network.
Several soldiers from the French-led Operation Barkhane were injured in the blast, the sources said.
Witnesses said that several military helicopters headed to the area following the blast.
