The U.S. Marine Corps is prioritizing modernization and troop readiness in its 2020 budget request as the service prepares for a future of high-end fighting, reports USNI News.
The service has requested $14 billion for equipment upgrades and $13.8 billion for near-term readiness and rebuilding efforts, Lt. Gen. Brian Beaudreault, the deputy commandant for plans, policies and operations, said earlier this month.
