Marines Complete Initial Live-Fire Drill In Xinjiang Desert

The Chinese marine corps has recently concluded its first live-fire desert drills in the western part of the country, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency, citing a statement from the People's Liberation Army Navy.
The exercises began last Friday at a training base in the province of Xinjiang.
In the scenario, a marine battalion launched simulated attacks against a heavily armed infantry company from the Xinjiang military command, said a navy statement on Tuesday.
