A contingent of Marines is back in Camp Lejeune, N.C., after six months of working with domestic forces in four Central American countries, reports the Marine Corps Times.
This was the first deployment for the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-South (SPMAGTF-South), which was headquartered at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras.
The Marines also worked in Belize, El Salvador and Guatemala, according to a release from the U.S. Southern Command earlier this month.
