Marawi Now Liberated, Declares Duterte

President Rodrigo Duterte has just declared the liberation of Marawi in the southern Philippines from militants affiliated with the Islamic State, reports CNN.
"I hereby declare Marawi City liberated from the terrorist influence that marks the beginning of rehabilitation of Marawi," Duterte said on Tuesday during a visit to the city.
Earlier in the day, a military spokesman said that 20-30 militants remained in the city, where they were holding about 20 hostages.
