M-345 Military Prototype Aircraft Makes 30-Minute Initial Flight

The Aermacchi M-345HET (high efficiency trainer) prototype has made its first flight, reports Leonardo, the Italian manufacturer.

The two-seat basic trainer flew from an airfield in Varese, Italy, on Dec. 29. The flight lasted 30 minutes, noted UPI.

The jet met all design expectations and showed excellent performance, said the test pilot.
