Lunar Orbiter Heads Toward Moon

South Korea has successfully launched its first lunar orbiter, reports Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
The Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter -- also known as Danuri in a Korean portmanteau for moon and enjoy -- was launched on Friday aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Fla.
The science ministry subsequently announced that the spacecraft had reached ballistic lunar transfer trajectory. The Danuri is expected to reach the moon’s orbit in around 4.5 months.
