Thousands of Ugandan Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels crossed the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo from the Central African Republic, reports the Daily Monitor (Kampala, Uganda), citing local sources.
The militants killed 26 Congolese villagers last week and then headed towards the border with Sudan, according to Chief Sasa of the Ango region in northwestern Congo.
