The British government has committed to meeting NATO's military spending target of 2 percent of GDP, reports the New York Times.
George Osborne, the chancellor of the Exchequer, announced on Wednesday that the U.K. would exceed NATO's target expenditure of 2 percent of gross domestic product "not just this year, but every year of this decade."
