Britain is deploying large numbers of troops and advanced weaponry to support police security operations during the upcoming Olympic games, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Reconnaissance planes, helicopters with snipers, Royal Air Force fighters and HMS Ocean, an amphibious assault ship that is the largest in the navy, will all be involved in the US$875 million effort, said British officials.
