Lockheed Wins Contract For Naval Helicopters

Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Lockheed Martin a contract to build naval helicopters for South Korea, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The US$447.2 million contract covers the production and delivery of 12 MH-60R Seahawk helicopters, said a Pentagon release on Monday.
Work is scheduled to be completed by December 2024.
South Korea announced its selection of the MH-60R to fulfill its Maritime Operation Helicopter Batch II requirement in December, reported Jane’s.
