Lockheed Wins Contract For Multiple Rocket Systems

The Pentagon has awarded Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control a $470 million contract for guided multiple rocket systems (GMLRS), the DoD reports.
The deal includes 4,770 unitary and 530 reduced range rocket pods, defense officials said.
The rocket pods will go to the U.S. Army and the Marine Corps, as well as France, Germany, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
Work is estimated to be completed on June 30, 2013.
