Lockheed Wins Contract For 5 Hercules Transport Aircraft

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Lockheed Martin a contract modification to build five C-130 Hercules cargo aircraft, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The $316 million contract covers three fiscal 2008 overseas contingency operations C-130J aircraft, one fiscal 2008 overseas contingency operations KC-130J aircraft and one fiscal 2010 HC-130J aircraft.
The 657th Aeronautical Systems Squadron, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting authority.
