Lockheed Wins $522 Million Contract For Advance F-35 Work

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a contract for advance efforts and materials for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program, reports the Dept. of Defense.

The $522 million contract from the Naval Air Systems Command covers long-lead work and materials for the production and delivery of 42 Lot V low-rate initial production F-35s.

The deal includes 22 conventional takeoff and landing aircraft for the Air Force; 13 short takeoff and vertical landing aircraft for the Marine Corps;...
