The Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Lockheed Martin a $20 million contract modification for a risk-reduction study for the integration of the Joint Strike Missile on the F-35 Lightning II, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The study is being performed for the Norwegian Ministry of Defense. No U.S. funds are involved, reported Flight International.
