Lockheed, Sikorsky Team On Air Force Helicopter Project

Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky have teamed on a bid for an upgraded version of the UH-60M Black Hawk for the Air Force's combat search-and-rescue (CSAR) helicopter replacement program, the Air Force Times reports.
The Air Force currently operates 112 HH-60 Pave Hawk aircraft in the CSAR role.
The service plans to award a new contract by 2012, with initial operational capability expected by 2015. Eight helicopters should be ready at that time, officials said.
