Lockheed Martin Agrees To Buy Sikorsky

Lockheed Martin has announced a definitive agreement to purchase Sikorsky Aircraft.
While the purchase price is $9 billion, the net cost is about $7.1 billion, taking into account tax benefits resulting from the transaction, according to a Lockheed release on Monday.
The acquisition of the military and commercial helicopter maker is subject to regulatory approvals and is scheduled to close by the end of 2015 or early in 2016, say Lockheed officials.
