Lockheed To Continue Development Of Joint Air-To-Ground Missiles

Lockheed Martin has received a $66.4 million contract to continue work under the Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) program for the U.S. Army and Navy, reports the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel.

The award follows a 27-month technology development phase for the fire-and-forget missile, which is intended to equip helicopters and unmanned aircraft.

The deal covers the engineering and manufacturing development phase of the program, reported Jane's Defence Weekly.
