Local Policeman Shoots 2 U.S. Troops

An Afghan police officer has shot and wounded two U.S. troops in southern Afghanistan, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The attack took place Thursday evening during an argument in the Zhari district of Kandahar province, said the district police chief.

Two policemen were killed in the return fire by the Americans, said the chief.

Separately, new details emerged about another green-on-blue incident -- attacks on NATO troops by Afghan counterparts.
