An airstrike in southern Yemen has killed three local leaders of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), reports the Gulf Times (Qatar).
The bombing run was made by a Yemeni plane on Saturday in Bayda province, according to a Defense Ministry statement released the following day.
The strike targeted a moving vehicle, security officials said.
A security source told AFP that a U.S. drone carried out the strike. The U.S. has not officially acknowledged using UAVs in Yemen.
