Light Tanks Sought For Border Areas

The Indian army has decided to acquire about 300 light tanks for service on the borders with China and Pakistan, the Press Trust of India reports.

The government has officially issued a request for information for the tanks. The proposed tanks are supposed to weigh about 22 tons and be capable of operating in high-altitude mountainous terrain.
