Light Guns To Equip Frigates, Supply Ship

The German navy has placed an order with Rheinmetall Defence for 12 light naval guns, reports the German defense firm.

The 11.6 million euro (US$17 million) deal covers MLG 27 guns for four Baden-Wurttemberg-class frigates and the new combat supply ship Bonn.

Each frigate will be armed with two of the guns, while the Bonn will have four, said the company.
