Libyan Ambassador Expelled Amid Maritime Boundary Dispute With Turkey

The Greek government has announced the expulsion of the Libyan ambassador after the U.N.-backed government in Tripoli finalized an agreement with Turkey that included a maritime border near the Greek island of Crete, reports Reuters.

On Friday, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said that Mohamed Younis A.B. Menfi had 72 hours to leave the country.

Despite the move, Athens has no intention of severing relations with Libya, said Dendias.
